Capital Traffic Transformation

Prishtina has been dealing with severe traffic congestion for years, with around 140,000 cars entering the city daily and slow vehicle movement causing major delays and economic losses. To address this, a comprehensive plan will reorganize traffic flow in the citys inner ring, converting key streets to one-way and building underpasses to ease vehicle flow. This plan includes dedicated lanes for vehicles, public transport, cyclists, and pedestrians. It is expected to reduce travel time significantly, improve air quality, and cut fuel costs, transforming Prishtina into a modern and more efficient city. With this reorganization, the one-way roads will have three lanes: two for vehicles and one for public transport. A bike lane will also be added, and pedestrian sidewalks and green pathways will be constructed. This solution is expected to reduce the time to circle the entire ring from 55 minutes to just 12 minutes. Time and financial losses will significantly decrease, and gas emissions are expected to fall noticeably.
